Lodz Jewish Sites Tour

Before 1939, Lodz was a city with one of the largest Jewish populations in Europe. It is estimated that before World War 2, every third inhabitant of the city was Jew. Only 250 000 of 600 000 Lodz inhabitants survived the war as thousands died in the ghetto and several death camps founded by the Nazis. However until today many sites related with Jewish history survived in the city of Lodz. We invite you to see them with us.

During our tour you will visit Jewish cemetery on Bracka Street, which contains exceptionally interesting monuments of Jewish culture. On our way will be Radegast train station where prisoners were transferred to death camps during the war – mainly to Auschwitz and Chelmno concentration camps. We will drive through the areas of the former Litzmannstadt Ghetto which was liberated in August 1944 (last liberated ghetto in Europe). You will also visit Reicher’s Synagogue – the only pre-war synagogue which survived in Lodz and is still open today.

We offer private tours with private guide on request. We can pick you up from your hotel at chosen time.

Tour lasts approx. 4 hours. Tours available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian
