Wolin Island
Wolin is an island in the north-western corner of Poland. Part of the island belongs to Wolin National Park which is known for beautiful beaches, lakes and bisons which can be seen in a special reserve. Town of Wolin is a venue for the Viking Festival that takes place every year in July. Most popular resorts on the island are Swinoujscie and Miedzyzdroje – both with beautiful, wide, sandy beaches. Swinoujscie is also a large and important port, Miedzyzdroje is known for a seafront promenade and a long pier.
