Tour itinerary:

  1. hotel pick up at chosen time
  2. walking tour of Gdansk Old Town area of approximately 2,5 hours during which you will have opportunity to see:
  • promenade along Motlawa river with the Crane – the largest and oldest of the port cranes of medieval Europe which survived until this day
  • Green Gate – probably the oldest gate of Gdansk and former residence of Polish kings
  • Long Market – heart of the city with most valuable monuments like Town Hall, amazing Artus Court – once meeting place of merchants and Neptune’s Fountain – one of symbols of Gdansk visible on almost every postcard sold in the city
  • Golden Gate – one of most beautiful city gates out of nearly 30 situated in Gdansk, together with High Gate and Prison Tower it forms a part of the old city fortifications
  • Prison Tower and torture chamber – it is believed that between 1604 and 1858 it was one of the heaviest prisons in Europe and no single convict managed to escape from here
  • St Mary’s Church – largest brick church in the world which played significant role in history of Poland
  • Dluga street and many narrow streets and beautiful townhouses creating charming atmosphere in one of the most beautiful Old Towns in Poland
  • Great Armory – example of the Dutch Mannerism, built as a municipal ammunition depot

3. around 20 minutes ride from the centre to Oliwa district where you will have up to 1 hour guided walk and admire:

  • Oliwa Cathedral – famous for 18th century organ with almost 8000 pipes
  • amazing 20-minute organ concert inside Oliwa Cathedral, during which many movable elements of the organ catch the eye
  • Oliwa Park – beautiful and the largest park in Gdansk where we will have a short pleasant walk

4. around 10 minutes ride from Oliwa district to Jelitkowo to see local public sandy beach with nice park nearby and have a short break here
5. around 25 minutes drive back to the centre of Gdansk
6. drop off at your hotel
