Lublin: Jewish Sites Tour

Lublin has been home to Jewish community since the Middle Ages. It was a city where the Hebrew culture could develop freely over the centuries. Jews came to Lublin in 1316. In 1336 King Kazimierz III granted the Jews permission to settle on the outskirts of the city. Later on, King Zygmunt I permitted them to settle near the castle.
