Warsaw: World War 2 Tour
On 1 August 1944 the underground Home Army launched an uprising in Warsaw against the occupying Germans. The uprising lasted over two months and led to complete destruction of the city as well as the loss of tens of thousands of lives. As you can imagine there are lots of places in the city today strongly related to those events from terrible war times. During this tour you will visit: monument to the Little Insurgent, Nike Monument, Krasinskich Square with Monument to the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, Pasty building – famous for intensive fights, Pawiak Prison, Jewish Ghetto, Monument to the Heroes of the Ghetto, Warsaw Uprising Museum.
