Alfons Karny Museum of Sculpture in Bialystok
The collection of Alfons Karny’s sculptures is presented as a permanent exposition Alfons Karny – Opus Vitae’ and is owned by the Podlaskie Museum in Bialystok. The creation of the collection lasted for over forty years and is a valuable output of two generations of Bialystok museologists.
The collection, which fully reflects the artistic output of the sculptor, consists of several dozen portraits, which make for the Gallery of Great Polish Men. The permanent exposition connected with the life and works of Alfons Karny consists of four parts:
1. Portraits of great Polish Men
2. Sculptor’s studio
3. The history of Karny’s artistic life
4. Ancient and modern art in Karny’s collection
