Krakow – the heart of Poland and Wieliczka – the salt mine

    • Guided tour to Krakow. Wawel Hill with the castle (without entrance) and with the Cathedral (entrance). Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture of the Old Town (Stare Miasto), the biggest Market Square in the Europe (Rynek Glowny), the Town Hall, the Clothes Hall (Sukiennice), Saint Mary’s Church (Kosciol Mariacki) with the famous Wit Stwosz' altar. Walk to the antique walls of the Old Town with Florianska Gate and the Barbican. During the visit: multimedial presentation about the story of Polish amber called Polish Gold. In the year 1978 Krakow was inscribed on the World Heritage List of the UNESCO.

    • Visit to the former Jewish district – Kazimierz. This part of Krakow was a centre of religious and social life of the Jewish community in Krakow until the deportations during the Nazi occupation.

    • Transfer to Wieliczka.

    • Guided tour to Wieliczka Salt Mine – one of the oldest salt mines in the world. This Salt Mine is famous for its long tourist tradition. There are many important people who visited the place: Mikolaj Kopernik, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Dmitrij Mendeleev, Boleslaw Prus, Ignacy Paderewski, Karol Wojtyla, etc. In the year 1978 Wieliczka Salt Mine was inscribed on the World Heritage List of the UNESCO. Return to Krakow.

    • Dinner in the typical Jewish restaurant in Kazimierz. During the dinner: concert of the Jewish music called klezmer.

    • Return to the hotel and the night in Krakow.

3rd day

Krakow – Pieniny and Dunajec – Debno Podhalanskie – Wadowice – Kalwaria Zebrzydowska – Krakow

    • Breakfast in the hotel.

    • Departure by coach to Sromowce Wyzne.
  • 10.00
    • Rafting on the traditional rafts down the Dunajec River, across the Pieninski National Park. Attention: if because of the weather there is no possibility to realize rafting down the Dunajec River, trip to the capital of the Polish Mountain: Zakopane.
  • 13.00
    • Lunch in the restaurant in Szczawnica.
  • 14.00
    • Transfer to Debno Podhalanskie. Visit to the wooden Gothic church in Debno: one of 6 wooden churches of south Poland inscribed on the World Heritage List of the UNESCO.
  • 15.00
    • Transfer to Wadowice, where John Paul II was born in 1920.
  • 17.00
    • Visit to Pope's home and to the church where he was baptized. Transfer to Kalwaria Zebrzydowska.

    • Visit to the monastery of Bernadines in Kalwaria. All the complex (sanctuary, park) is inscribed on the World Heritage List of the UNESCO.

    • Departure to Krakow.

    • Dinner with the typical Polish food in one of the restaurants in Krakow. The last night in Krakow.

4th day

Krakow – Oswiecim-Brzezinka (Auschwitz-Birkenau) – Czestochowa

    • Departure to the museum Auschwitz-Birkenau.

    • Guided tour to the area of ex-concentration camp in Auschwitz-Birkenau. This camp was built by Nazis during the Nazi occupation of Poland. Today this place is a part of the the World Heritage of the UNESCO.

    • Lunch in the restaurant.

    • Departure to Czestochowa.

    • Guided tour to the most important pilgrimage place in Poland - the monastery in Czestochowa: Jasna Gora with miraculous icon of Virgin Mary – the Black Madonna.

    • Dinner in the rural restaurant in Czestochowa.
  • 21.00
    • Transfer to the hotel and check-in the hotel. Night in Czestochowa.

5th day

Czestochowa – Wroclaw

    • Guided tour to Wroclaw: Gothic Town Hall, the University, the Ostrow Tumski complex with the Cathedral, the Leopoldine Hall. Because of the bridges and islands on the Odra River, Wroclaw is called “Polish Venice”. The tour finishes on the market square.

6th day

Wroclaw – Gniezno – Torun – Gdansk

    • Departure to Gniezno – the first Polish capital.

    • Visit to Gniezno. Visit to the Cathedral, the place of crowning of the first Polish kings.

    • Arrival to Torun. Guided tour to Torun: medieval town inscribed on the World Heritage List of the UNESCO. Visit to the house of Copernicus, the most famous Polish astronomer. Visit to the cathedral built in the years 1250-1500 and to the fortified walls with the Leaning Tower.

    • Departure to Gdansk.

7th day

Gdansk and Solidarnosc

    • Guided tour to Gdansk, one of the most rich cities in the XVII century. In the programme: the cathedral of Oliwa with the famous organ. Concert of the organ music, the Town Hall, the Fish Market, the Old Harbour, the Long Market with the Neptune Fountain, the Artus Cort.

    • “Solidarnosc”: visit to the museum of Solidarnosc in the Gdansk shipyard and to the monument of the Fallen Gdansk Shipyard Workers in the year 1970. Transfer to Sopot and walk along the pier of Sopot: the capital of the Polish see. Next, transfer to Westerplatte, where on the 1 of September of 1939 the World War II began.
