Lodz: Replica of the Grand OFF International Film Festival

From 18th to 20th of January in Lodz there will be screenings of the winning films of the 7th Grand OFF International Film Festival – The Best Independent Films of the World, which took place in December in Warsaw. This is one of the most important initiatives promoting independent cinema in Poland and one of the most important events of this type in the world. The mission of the Grand OFF is to show and distinguish the best independent films of the world and reward their creators. Nominations submitted by the members of the Grand OFF Jury are representatives of film circles from 24 countries of the world. Among the many films submitted, the jury consisting of 50 representatives from film circles from more than 20 countries around the world, chose the best productions. After the festival in Warsaw, the winning films are presented in more than 50 Polish cities. During the replica of the festival in Gdansk we will see films that received awards in the following categories: fiction, direction, script, shooting, cinematography, actor, actress, best documentary, best animation, scenography and costumes.
