The 26th Krakow Honey Harvest Festival

Between September 6th and September 8th 2019, there will be the 26th Krakow Honey Harvest in.
Once again, you are invited tot this event by the Krakow Beekeeper Association. On the second weekend of September, at the Wolnica Square we will find stalls with the richness of natural honey and other bee products.

For beekeepers, the Krakow Honey Harvest is a great opportunity for exchanging experiences, discussing and discovering news about taking care of their apiaries and beekeeper tools. For visitors, it is a a possibility to to buy rare honey, pollen and healthy food. Hobbyists can also deepen their knowledge about bees, bee products and the work of beekeepers.

The Honey Harvest is also plenty attractions for kids and grown-ups. Similarly as in the previous years, an integral part of the event will be the Bee Parade. Kids and adults dressed up in beekeeper costumes and bee-themed clothes will be presented at the Main Market Square. After that, they will go to the Wolnica Square in the rhythm of the Sorrir Por Favor band.

On Seootember 6th at Wolnica Square, there will be a charity called „The blood harvest”, during which all the volunteers and the members of the Krakow Beekeeper Association will donate their blood to hospitals in Krakow

Krakow is the first city in Poland, which decided to create their own team of apiaries. The City Hall, in cooperation with the Krakow Beekeeper Association created the project of designing the city apiaries on rooftops and in the meadows – the Krakow Apiary. The caretakers are qualified beekeepers. The hive are located among others, at the rooftop of Nowohuckie Centrum Kultury and the Kazimierz shopping centre.
