Gdansk: Private Tour to Malbork Castle
Gdansk and the Tricity are very pleasant places to visit but it is worth mentioning that only within an hour you can get to one of Poland’s most significant monuments – the Malbork Castle. We will take you for a tour during which you will have the chance to admire the largest brick castle in the world (in terms of surface area), included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is the former capital of the Teutonic State – a Catholic religious order of Germany. Once you see this magnificent medieval fortress on your own eyes, you will be amazed how enormous it is. It is surrounded by belts of fortified walls of 15 mln bricks with gates and towers. It was heavily destroyed during WWII but has been entirely restored. It is considered to be an architectural masterpiece – even in the past it had a central heating system built in. The castle beautifully situated by the Nogat river, is currently the largest Gothic castle in Europe and an example of the medieval defense architecture. We are sure the day spent in Malbork will stay in your memory for a long time.
