Krakow: One Day Tour to Czechia

If you’re staying in Krakow and have a full day to spare, we offer an exciting excursion to one of our neighboring countries – the Czech Republic. This charming country is packed with tourist attractions, including the stunning landscapes of the Beskids Mountains in northeastern Czechia, and many cultural landmarks scattered across various towns and regions. The drive from Krakow to the northeastern border of the Czech Republic takes around 2 hours, allowing us to focus on the main highlights of this area during our one-day trip. Even with the time constraints, there is a diverse array of sights to visit. We can show you magnificent Hradec nad Moravici Castle – historic complex featuring a mix of Gothic, Renaissance, and Romantic architectural styles, set amidst picturesque landscapes and beautiful Radun Palace – charming historic estate known for its Renaissance architecture. Before coming back to Krakow, we will take you to picturesque, small city of Opava where you will admire its beautiful historic centre and get some rest.

Tour itinerary:

1. hotel pick up at chosen time in the morning
2. approx 2,5 hours drive from your hotel in Krakow to Radun Palace in Czechia
3. self-guided visit of the Palace in Radun for approx 1 hour and 15 min during which you will be able to see:

• Radun Palace from the outside – admire its fantastic Renaissance architecture, grand façade adorned with ornate sgraffito decorations, intricate stonework, and elegant arcades.
• Orangery which is a delightful example of 19th-century architecture
• Radun Palace’s garden – splendid example of a meticulously designed landscape, reflecting the grandeur and elegance of the estate.

4. approx 20 min drive from Radun Palace to Hradec nad Moravici Castle
5. self-guided visit of the Castle for approx 1 hour and 15 min during which you will be able to see:

• Palace Park with all the viewpoints
• Courtyard of the White Palace
• Historical exhibition located in the former garden hall

6. approx 20 min drive from Hradec nad Moravici Castle to Opava
7. up to 3 hours of free time in Opava for lunch, delicious Czech beer and discovering the city on your own during which you will be able to see:

• Upper Town Square with beautiful, white Clock Tower
• Unusual statue called “Spion” (The Spy)
• Opava Opera House
• Gothic, brick-red Cathedral of the Assumption on the Virgin Mary
• Old Theatre building
• Church of the Holy Spirit
• Lower Market Square with Baroque St. Vojtech’s Church
