Krakow: Tour to Bochnia Salt Mine
Bochnia is a small, pleasant town located around 40 km from Krakow known for the old salt mine. The Bochnia Salt Mine is one of the most important underground tourist attractions in Poland. Although it stands in the shadow of it’s younger and more popular sister – the Wieliczka Salt Mine, with whom it has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2013, it is still very precious, world-class monument. The origins of the Bochnia mine date back to 1248, which makes it one of the oldest salt mines in Poland. However, salt was extracted from these areas much earlier – 3500 years B.C. Let us take you for a fantastic tour to this outstanding place of great historical value and experience amazing underground attractions and breathtaking views.
