Lublin City Tour
Lublin is the largest city in southeastern Poland with long history and full of historic buildings. Lublin flourished under the Jagiellonian dynasty, later became an important center of commerce. After the war with Sweden until Poland regained its independence city declined but after the Second World War became important center of academic life. Population of the city suffered heavily during the World War 2, nearby Nazis opened concentration camp Majdanek which was one of the largest in Europe. Today Lublin offers beautiful Old Town with many interesting monuments. Let us take you on a walk to discover its treasures.
During our tour you will see Krakow Gate from 14th century – symbol of the city, Old Town Market Square with Lublin’s Town Hall – rebuilt in 18th century in the Neo-Classical style. You will not miss the Dominican Church and Cathedral of Saints John the Baptist and John the Evangelist. Finally we will visit Lublin’s most important historic building – Chapel of the Holy Trinity with famous frescoes. It is a part of Lublin Castle which is also known for its beautiful Neo-Gothic façade.
