Rzeszow: Bieszczady Mountains National Park Tour

How about dropping everything and going to the Bieszczady Mountains? This mountain range in the south eastern Poland is famous for stunning views and solitary paths. It is also one of the largest national parks in Poland, a home of wild animals and plants, including lots of protected species. Want to forget about your problems of everyday life? We offer private tours to the Bieszczady Mountains National Park from Rzeszow on request.

Tour itinerary:

1. hotel pick up at chosen time,
2. approx. 3 hours drive by private car/van with our English speaking driver from Rzeszow to Wolosate – starting point for hiking trail to the Tarnica, the highest peak of Bieszczady Mountains on the Polish side of this mountain range
3. after crossing the border of the Bieszczady Mountains National Park, approx. 3 hours of your individual hike on the blue trail (probably the friendliest and safest one) during which you will be able to see:

• the third largest national park in Poland with around 70% of the area regarded as strict reserve,
• a varied route leading through both open meadows and a dense beech forest,
• the famous meadows – typical, wonderful landscapes of the Bieszczady National Park,
• numerous footbridges and stairs,
• information boards and places to rest,
• Tarnica peak, 1,346 m above sea level, one of the Polish Crown Peaks; in the center a metal cross is placed in memory of the pontificate of Pope John Paul II and his visits in the Bieszczady Mountains,
• an interesting panorama from the top of Tarnica where with a bit of luck you can see: the Tatra Mountains, Ukrainian Gorgany or Romanian Pietrosul Rodnei in the Rodna Mountains,

4. short rest at the top, time for photos, snacks and drinks,
5. up to 3 hours of your return walk down from Tarnica to the starting point of the trail
6. up to 3 hours drive back from Wolosate to Rzeszow. According to your needs, we can arrange short stop for a dinner on the way

Whole tour lasts approximately 12 – 13 hours.

• it is recommended to take a raincoat, comfortable shoes and clothes in case the weather changes unexpectedly
