Szczecin World War 2 Tour

Before World War 2, Szczecin (Stettin) was strategically one of the most important cities in German Third Reich. It was an industrial centre of the country with numerous factories, shipyard and port. In 1943-1945 Szczecin became a target of over 20 bombing raids carried out by Allied forces, mainly by British RAF and American USAAF. Local witnesses of those events, compared the destruction caused by the raids to biblical apocalypse with firestorms with impossible to estimate number of victims, mainly civilians including women and children. We recommend our unique version of a city tour dedicated to those events which includes visit inside the real, German, civil air raid shelter – one of the largest of this kind in Europe.
