Wroclaw: Offroad Safari in Park Dvůr Králové

The park is divided into three main sections: a classic zoo, a walking safari with large open enclosures, and a drive-through safari known as Josef Wagner’s African Safari and Lion Safari. The drive-through safari spans 5.5 km, beginning with enclosures housing African ungulates and carnivores, before entering the vast plains of the Netřeba creek valley. Here, you’ll witness animals roaming freely in an environment reminiscent of the African savannah.
Your journey will take you past elands, sable antelopes, waterbucks, herds of zebras, wildebeests, watusi cattle, and giraffes grazing in the open grasslands. You’ll also spot pelicans floating on ponds and ostriches wandering the landscape. The road then leads to the Lion Safari, home to the majestic Barbary lions, a species extinct in the wild. This section, opened in 2015, is the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic. Note that it is strictly forbidden to bring dogs or any other animals to the Lion Safari.
After the thrilling safari experience, you can explore the rest of the park’s attractions before returning to Wroclaw. The entire tour lasts approximately 8.5 hours, providing a full day of adventure and discovery.
