- Stalag Luft III Museum: Arrive at the Stalag Luft III Museum and prepare to delve into the fascinating history of the camp. Your museum guide will accompany you, providing detailed information about the exhibits and artifacts on display. Learn about the daily life of the prisoners, their struggles, and the ingenious methods they used to plan and execute their escape attempts. Walk through the area where the prison camp once stood. Visit the renowned “Harry” tunnel, made famous by “The Great Escape.” Marvel at the length of the tunnel and the skill and determination it took for the prisoners to dig it. Pay your respects at the memorial dedicated to the 50 prisoners who were executed following their recapture after “The Great Escape.”
