Husky Ride in Gdansk

Who wouldn’t like to meet some intelligent and friendly husky dogs and learn how to drive a sled? Dog sled rides can be a great adventure and fantastic form of outdoor activity for families with children, individuals and organized groups. We can pick you up from your hotel in Gdansk and take you to a beautiful natural area in Kashubian land where you will meet our friendly husky dogs.

Activity program:

1. pick up from your hotel in Gdansk at chosen time
2. a drive of up to 1 hour to the starting point with a private vehicle and an English speaking driver
3. meeting with a local English speaking instructor
4. saying hello and discussing the basic rules for dealing with animals, showing the camp equipment, getting to know the names of the dogs and commands
5. building a dog sled, putting on a harness, connecting with ropes
6. harnessing, that is, positioning dogs, sledging in motion, demonstration of the leader’s work
7. spectacular dog work show
8. dog sled rides along the route / trolley or sledge / learning the activities of a handler / watering dogs, etc. (trail for the dogs’ rides is 500 metres long)
9. snacks in a teepee, bonfire sausages
10. learning dogtrekking, everyone is walking along the route with dogs on hip belts
11. stake out – stroking dogs, joint photos
12. competition, summary
13. short free time, farewell
14. drive back to your hotel after the event (up to 1 hour)

Whole activity with transportation lasts up to 6 hours

*in case of snowless weather there is an option of riding on special dog sleds on wheels so it is also possible to organize this activity without snow
