Katowice: Wakeboarding

Visiting Katowice is not only about coal mines and miners’ legacy, it is also a perfect opportunity to try some new things. For all fans of water sports looking for some adrenaline, we gladly offer a visit to a popular wakepark, just a short ride from Katowice where you can try wakeboarding.

This water sport is all about riding over a water surface on a special board while being pulled by a specially prepared lift. It can be described as a mix of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing which gives you much adrenaline and fun. The boards used in this discipline are shorter in length than snowboards and a bit wider, making it easier for their users to stay on the surface and do some tricks.

The spot, located on Czechowickie Lake, boasts the longest two-mast lift in Europe based on the Sesitec 2.0 system. Here, you will be able to swim on a track of up to 280 metres. All more experienced wakeboarders surely will appreciate a miniramp, trickboards, slackline and many other surprises.

BASIC OPTION – individual sessions

Activity program:

1. Pick up from your hotel in Katowice at chosen time
2. A drive of up to 45 minutes to the venue with a private vehicle and a private English speaking driver
3. Meeting with a local English speaking instructor.
4. Short introduction followed by 15 minutes of wakeboarding session
5. Drive back to your hotel of up to 45 minutes after the event
6. Hotel drop off

Whole activity with transportation lasts approx. 2,5 hours

Our proposal for this activity includes:

• Private transportation to the venue and back 
• Private English speaking driver’s service
• A short instruction by a qualified English-speaking instructor
• An individual 15-minutes session of wakeboarding (without instructor)
• Complete equipment (wetsuit, life jacket, helmet, wakeboard)

Prices:

• 550 PLN per person (1 person) 
• 330 PLN per person (2 persons) 
• 260 PLN per person (3 persons)

EXTENDED OPTION – private track with an instructor

Activity program:

4. Up to 1 hour of wakeboarding (total lift rental time for 1-4 persons)
5. Drive back to your hotel of up to 45 minutes after the event
6. Hotel drop off

Whole activity with transportation lasts approx. 3 hours

Our proposal for this activity includes:

• Private English speaking driver’s service
• A qualified English-speaking instructor
• Exclusive lift rental for 1 hour (max 4 persons per lift)
• Complete equipment (wetsuit, life jacket, helmet, wakeboard)

Important information:

• This activity is available between mid-May and the end of September
• You need to be sober to take part in this event
• The suggested minimum age of the participants is 10
• The price includes standard boards, if you are interested in more advanced wakeboarding it is possible to rent pro boards at additional 15 PLN per person
