Krakow (24.11-26.12) – Krakow Christmast market is not only the largest one but also the most memorable. At the beginning you may be surprised that all city is decorated with lights and sparkly angels. Then market might seem to be too crowded but when you start to penetrate you will feel this magic atmosphere and forget that you are not at home. Krakow’s Christmas market is full of handmade jewellery, wooden toys, wollen clothes, colourful glass baubles so you can make a perfect souvenir. When temperature is too low you should drink mulled wine served from wooden barel and eat traditional Polish meals providing enough energy to keep shopping and sightseeing. When you need a short break you should stop nearby the market and admire beautiful handmade cribs.

Warsaw (25.11-07.01) – There are more than 10 Christmas markets in Warsaw so you can spend a whole week in Poland’s beautiful capital and explore ones. The main is hold on the Market Square of the Old Town. Although is not as large as Krakow’s market it still has plenty to offer. Amazing decorations, smell of Christmas tree, gingerbread and cinnamon immediatey let you feel magic and cozy atmosphere of this holiday. If you are fed up of Christmas preparations you can go ice skating outside of the Złote Tarasy shopping center.

Wroclaw (17.11 – 22.12) – If you don’t feel the Christmas spirit Wroclaw’s market will take you into Christmas Wonderland. In the Old Town lit up by millions of lights there is fairy forest built from hundreds of Christmas trees where children can find many surprises or heroes from their favourite cartoons. In addition walking across the market square you can meet drafts or fairy -tale characters. Wrocław is famous for cuisine of the Lower Silesian region so in case of hunger you will have wide choice of meals.

Poznan (18.11 – 22.12) – Poznan’s Christmas market is a bit smaller but here you can feel Christmas atmosphere all over the city. In some corners of streets there are post boxes for letter to Santa Clause (known in Poznań as „Gwiazdor”). Variety of products. Variety of sold products let you buy most of the Christmas gifts for your loved ones. In December this Christmas market stands out the International Ice Sculptor Festiwal so during shopping break you can admire amazing ice sculptures. In addition Christmas carol known around the World – „Silent Night” – is sung everywhere in many languages.

Gdansk (2.12 – 23.12) – Christmas market in Gdansk may be an alternative to the overcrowded shopping malls. Beside many wooden stalls full of Christmas products, amber jewellery, local goods and delicacies you can go to Venetian carousel with horses, big wheel called AmberSky or to see exhibition of traditional Christmas trees from countries such as Finland, Norway, Germany, etc. Wanting to rest the visitors should go to the heart of Gdansk’a market, to the Angelic Mill. Its top is decorated with the figure of four angel. Below there are figures of four saints and a window where you can buy mulled wine served in a ceramic mug.
