World War 2 tour
Poland was the first country that Hitler invaded by using military actions in 1939 and starting the World War 2. Less than 3 weeks later, Stalin also invaded Poland from the east causing inevitable defeat of Polish army. After first weeks of many bloody battles against German and Russian forces, many others horrible things happened here like: establishing concentration camps where massive genocide happened, establishing Jewish ghettos districts in big cities, massive executions, Warsaw Uprising battles in 1944 and many more. Nowhere else in the world today you will find so many memorials, museums and historical monuments from this dark period of human history. During our tour you will see the most important sites related with history of World War 2. This is our proposal for the itinerary:
Day 1 – transfer from Gdansk Airport to hotel in Gdansk
We provide private transfer from Gdansk Airport to hotel in Gdansk by private bus. Our local representative would be waiting for the group at the airport with a small board with the name of the group.
Day 2 – Full day city tour of Gdansk
We will dedicate whole day to sightseeing of Gdansk. We will start with a walking tour of Old Town with all its highlights and famous monuments. Afterwards we will focus on sites related with World War 2 like Monument to Post Office Defenders, Soviet cemetery, former building of Gestapo but first of all we will visit the place where it all started on 1st September – first battle of World War 2 at Westerplatte – small peninsula a few kilometres from the city center. So basically this part of the city tour will be according to this program: https://www.gdanskadventure.com/en/tours-in-gdansk/gdansk-world-war-2-tour . If you do not get tired after visiting all those places, we can also take you for a short tour to Sopot – most famous sea resort in Poland, located right next to Gdansk.
Day 3 – Transfer from Gdansk to Wolf’s Liar with sightseeing Malbork Castle or Stutthof Camp on the way
We will leave Gdansk in the morning right after breakfast and head towards Wolf’s Liar – Hitler’s military headquarters and place where in 1944 an unsuccessful attempt to kill Hitler was made. On the way we could visit one of two very interesting places so you can choose which one you prefer. First option would be famous Castle of Teutonic Knights in Malbork: https://www.gdanskadventure.com/en/travelguide/malbork . Second option would be first German Nazi’s concentration camp on Polish territory in Stutthof. We will arrive at the hotel near Wolf’s Liar in the evening.
Day 4 – Sightseeing of Wolf’s Liar Complex + transfer to Warsaw

Option number 1 would be Distillery of Polish Vodka in Nidzica where we can have a traditional vodka tasting and photo stop next to local Teutonic Castle. Option number 2 would be concentration camp in Treblinka: https://www.warsawtraveltours.com/Treblinka.html We will arrive at the hotel in Warsaw in the evening.
