After cleaning and disinfecting the root canal, the tooth is secured by sealing it with e.g. a crown.

Does this treatment hurt?

The toothache after root canal treatment should not occur. Local anesthesia is performed during the procedure, and the treated tooth should not be a source of pain due to the lack of viable pulp.

How long does the treatment last?

The duration of endodontic treatment depends on the complexity of the case. Some require only one visit to the dentist’s office. In case of a larger number of teeth, a whole series of treatments is required. Usually it lasts up to 60 min. in case of one tooth.
