Ustron tours and sightseeing

Ustron is a town and spa in the Beskid Slaski in the valley of the Vistula, 28 kilometres south-west of Bielsko-Biala. Ustron is without doubt one of the most charming towns in the Silesian Beskid Mountains, between Czantoria Wielka (995 metres above sea level) and Rownica (884 metres above sea level). Ustron has gorgeous scenery, excellent accommodation and restaurants, a host of exciting cultural and sporting events and attractions for thrill-seekers. It’s an excellent place for a break, for medical and physiotherapeutic treatments, for all kinds of sports and recreation and for cultured leisure activities. Ustron is all about well-being and a wide choice of great things to do – the whole year round. Ustron has over two hundred years’ history as a spa, because at 1802 the first spa house with a pump room was opened and Ustron was given the status of a health resort. Ustron is now an internationally known health resort. There are a great number of sanatoriums and rehabilitation centres with modern equipment, offering a wide range of treatments and top-class professional service. Ustron is an excellent base for excursions to the mountains. It has six ski lifts, including the most popular chair lift from Ustron Polana up Czantoria (1640 m long). On the slope of Czantoria there is a summer bobsleigh run where two-man boblets mounted on wheels are used to slide down.
