Zakopane: Traditional Dunajec River Rafting

Let us take you from Zakopane to Pieniny Mountains National Park where you can enjoy unforgettable experience of traditional, local rafting on wooden rafts along amazing Dunajec River Canyon. This is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Poland and if you stay in Zakopane between April and October, you should definitely consider booking our tour.
During this fantastic activity, you will admire breathtaking views of white mountain peaks, limestone and dolomite rock formations, steep banks of the canyon, forest and clear water of Dunajec river. You will be accompanied by a traditional rafter dressed in local regional costume who will take care of your safety. We guarantee it will be a great adventure for everyone at every age.

Tour itinerary:

1. hotel pick up at chosen time,
2. approx 1,5 hour drive from Zakopane to Sromowce Nizne by private car/van with English speaking driver
3. meeting with local rafter at the beginning of rafting route
4. traditional river rafting from Sromowce Nizne to Szczawnica for up to 2,5 hours total during which you will see:

• forests and amazing rock formations of Pieniny Mountains National Park
• steep river banks of the canyon
• numerous white mountain peaks including famous Sokolica peak and the highest peak in Pieniny Mountains – Three Crowns
• Red Monastery – situated on southern, Slovakian side of Dunajec River which is a natural border between two countries

5. free time for lunch in Szczawnica
6. drive back from Szczawnica to your hotel in Zakopane (approx 2 hours depending on traffic)
7. your hotel drop off in Zakopane
