Zakopane: Tour to Slovakia

We will take you to the most popular and charming places where you can cherish spending time in silence, among green scenery and nature. There will be time to stop, take a breath and admire the picturesque surroundings.

Tour itinerary:

1. pick up from your hotel in Zakopane at chosen time
2. approx 1 hour drive from Zakopane to the Bachledova Valley in Slovakia by private car/van and with our English speaking driver
3. a short cable car drive up to Magura Spiska Mountain
4. approx 45 min – 1 hour walk in the newly opened treetop path on the border of the Pieniny and Tatra National Park in Slovakia – this is a special walk high above the trees (32 m) with remarkable views of the mountains surrounding you and among unique species of plants, trees and animals; on the path there is an educational route on which you will pass information signs containing facts about the local flora and fauna
5. Cable car drive down back to the parking
6. approx 45 min. drive from Bachledova Dolina to Strbske Pleso Lake
7. 30 min. walk around Strbske Pleso – one of the biggest lakes in the Tatra Mountains; it lays 1346 m above the sea level and reminds the famous Polish lake – Morskie Oko; this is also a good starting point if you would like to climb the highest peaks of these mountains
8. 1 hour lunch break
9. approx 50 min. drive from Strbske Pleso to Spissky Hrad (Spis Castle)
10. 2 hours of visiting the Spissky Hrad – one of the biggest castle complexes in Central Europe which has been noted on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1993; the history of the castle starts in the 12th century; since it was not destroyed like most other castles nearby in the past and even though a fire broke out in the XVIII century, today it is one of the most popular places visited in the whole country
11. approx 2,5 hours drive back to Zakopane from Spis Castle
12. drop off at your hotel in Zakopane
