Zakopane: Walking Tour

This tour is the best way to experience the unique atmosphere of Zakopane in the Tatra Mountains. During the walk we will go down the famous routes of this mountain resort, full of folklore, colours and old, wooden villas, churches and houses, where in the past lived artists, writers and people associated with Zakopane. Our professional guide will share with you all the interesting stories and facts which will make the tour more fascinating. You will have the opportunity to admire the traditional wooden architecture in the surrounding of the beautiful Tatra Mountains.

Tour itinerary:

1. meeting our private city guide in chosen language at your hotel at chosen time (if your hotel is located too far from Old Town, we suggest meeting point in the centre or at additional cost we can provide private transfer service)
2. 2 hours of walking tour around the Old Town of Zakopane during which you will see:

• Krupowki Street– the main street in Zakopane – famous walking alley full of tourists, various restaurants, pubs, bars, souvenir shops and examples of local highlander style of wooden architecture
• Koscieliska Street – here is the oldest part of the city which includes the Old Church, Gasienica’s Chapel and the old, charming cemetery “Na Peksowym Brzyzku” which really makes an impression
• villa Koliba – first house built in the Zakopane style according to the design of Stanislaw Witkiewicz; listed on the register of monuments in 1983
