Wroclaw: Tank Driving

Wroclaw was one of the cities most affected by World War II. A bone of contention after the war, detached from the former Reich and incorporated into the new People’s Republic of Poland. Where, if not here, would be a better place to get hold of the most symbolic vehicle of war – a tank?

We invite you to take a unique chance to experience a true adventure on board of a real tank. Just a bit above 2 hours of journey from Wroclaw, you can find yourself in a magical world of military vehicles, weapons and missiles.. Not only can you see all those unique objects, but also experience the military spirit while riding such huge military vehicles like the legendary T-55 tank or a BWP-1 (a Polish name for BMP-1), an innovative soviet design that entered service in 1966 and is regarded to be the first mass-produced infantry fighting vehicle in the world. 

It is up to you if you decide just to take a ride or rather learn how to really drive those monsters. Are you ready to deal with the most powerful vehicles in history?

Activity program:

1. Pick up from your hotel in Wroclaw at chosen time
2. A drive of approx. 2 hours 15 minutes to the venue with a private vehicle and a private English speaking driver
3. Meeting with a local tank driver and boarding a tank
4. Approx.15 minutes of T-55 Tank or BWP-1 driving
5. Up to 1 hour free time to visit the Military Technology Park
6. Return transfer after the event of approx 2 hours 15 minutes
7. Hotel drop off

Whole activity with transportation lasts approximately 6,5 hours

• Private transportation to the venue and back with an English-speaking driver
• Professional local tank driver/instructor service
• Approx. 15 minutes ride by T-55 Tank or BWP-1
• Entrance tickets to the Military Technology Park
• Up to 1 hour of free time to visit the grounds of  the Military Technology Park

Important information:

• OPTION 1: There is a maximum of 3 people per one ride (all participants ride in groups of up to 3 persons, in case of more than 3 persons the group is split, eg in case of 5 persons there are 2 rides – one for 3 persons and one for 2 persons)
• OPTION 2: Only 1 person can learn at a time but there is a possibility to have a companion on board just to watch
• OPTION 3: There is a maximum of 6 people per one ride (all participants ride in groups of up to 6 persons at one time)
• OPTION 4: Only 1 person can learn at a time (no possibility to have a companion on board)

*Please note that in case of a plain ride, the tank driver will not speak English (your private driver will translate the safety rules for the activity before you board the vehicle) while for driving lesson either the instructor will speak English or there will be a translator to ensure you get the most of your course
