Warsaw Outskirt Tour
If you want to see a bit more than only highlights of Warsaw during your stay in capital city of Poland, this tour could be a good option for you to consider because it combines a couple of chosen tourist attractions of Mazovian region and its agricultural landscape – typical for central Poland. We will start with visiting Baroque Palace in Nieborow and beautiful parks and gardensu that surround it. Afterwards we will drive to small town of Lowicz to admire its architecture and finally we will reach Ethnographic Park in Maurzyce – open-air museum of local folk culture.

Tour itinerary:
- hotel pick up at chosen time
- approx. 1 hour 15 minutes drive from Warsaw to Nieborow Palace
- up to 2 hours of guided sightseeing tour of Nieborow Palace designed by one of the greatest architects of all times – Tylman van Gameren. Palace was built in 17th century for Primate of Poland – Michal Radziejowski. Between 1774 and 1944 was owned by Radziwill family – one of the most powerful families in Poland and after World War 2 it was turned into museum. During this tour you will see:
- decorative sculptures in front of the entrance to the Palace
- guest apartments and interiors with original furniture and art collections
- impressive Baroque garden in regular French style designed in the end of 17th century with mainly local tree species and over 250 years old plane-trees
4. up to 30 minutes pleasant walk in located right next to Nieborow Park, Arkadia Gardens of Helena Radziwillowa. Beautiful garden in wild English style with numerous Antique sculptures and copies of Antique buildings
5. 15 minutes drive from Nieborow to Lowicz – small town which history dates back to 12th century
6. up to 1 hour guided walking tour of Lowicz during which you will see:
- triangular Old Market Square with historical townhouses – one of few markets of such shape in Europe and the only one in Poland
- Town Hall building – one of most valuable and beautiful monuments in Lowicz
- impressive Lowicz Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Nicholas
7. free time for lunch in Lowicz
8. 20 minutes drive from Lowicz to open-air museum in Maurzyce
9. approx. 1 hour of guided sightseeing tour of Ethnographic Park in Maurzyce presenting spatial planning of local villages and farms with equipment in 19th century
10. 1,5 hour drive back from Maurzyce to Warsaw
11. drop off at your hotel in Warsaw
*Open-air Museum in Maurzyce is closed in winter (November-March). In this period we can take you to Museum of Fryderyk Chopin in Zelazowa Wola instead and keep the same duration time and price of the tour. We can also organize such version of this tour in other months all year round
*Tour is not available on Mondays because museums are closed
