Warsaw: Bialowieza National Park Tour

For all nature lovers, we have a special tour in our offer to Bialowieza National Park located in north eastern Poland along the border with Republic of Belarus. It was established in 1932 (one of the first national parks in Europe) to protect the last, natural, primeval forest which hundreds of years ago was typical for European Lowland. In 1979 it was included by UNESCO on its List of Natural World Heritage Sites. Today Bialowieza National Park is internationally known for being home to world’s largest population of European bisons (wisents) living in fully natural conditions. During our tour you will have opportunity to admire those fantastic animals in special show reserve as well as having unforgettable walk through protected forest reserve.

Tour itinerary:

1. hotel pick up at chosen time
2. up to 3,5 hours drive from Warsaw to Bialowieza by comfortable car/van with private English speaking driver
3. 3 hours visit in Strict Nature Reserve of Bialowieza National Park with local private guide in chosen language during which you will:

• walk along 4,5 km path in the heart of primeval forest and see the natural, wild beauty of the Park where its large part is under active nature protection,
• learn the history of first National Parks in Europe and in Poland,
• see diverse tree stands where pine has the largest share,
• observe the natural processes in this area,
• admire unique biodiversity of the forest unseen nowhere else,
• see and hear many different species of forest birds including owls
• discover fauna that lives in Bialowieza National Park. With some luck you have a chance to see wild boars, deers, elks, beavers, otters, minks and of course European bisons,
• see Park Palace – founded after 1895 in the heart of forest complex as a part of private hunting residence of the Tsars of Russia

4. 1 hour guided visit in Show Reserve of European bisons where animals are exhibited in semi-natural conditions. It is major tourist attraction and is also used for natural education for schools. In Show Reserve there are also forest tarpans, wolfs, wild boars and deers
5. free time for lunch
6. up to 3,5 hours return journey from Bialowieza to Warsaw
7. drop off at your hotel in Warsaw
