Krakow: Majdanek Camp & Lublin Tour

Majdanek, a German Nazi concentration and extermination camp, was established on the outskirts of Lublin in occupied Poland in 1941, under the directive of Heinrich Himmler, a key figure in orchestrating the Holocaust. Initially intended primarily for Soviet POWs to be used as forced labor, the camp underwent several modifications. By 1943, Majdanek had evolved into a death camp, resulting in the tragic loss of nearly 360,000 lives. This tour includes a visit to the State Museum of Majdanek, one of the most well-preserved Holocaust camp sites, where you’ll learn about its harrowing history. Additionally, the tour features a walk through Lublin’s Old Town, offering a chance to appreciate the area’s stunning and historically significant architecture.
