Bialystok: Bialowieza National Park Tour

Bialowieza National Park is the oldest national park in Poland and of the oldest ones in Europe. It was established in 1932 and covers an area of 10,5 ha, of which more than a half is under strict protection. The bison, which is in its emblem, is the icon of the park and the forest. Due to its natural uniqueness, it has been noted on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. The Strict Protection Area is undoubtedly the most valuable natural object of the park. It contains a fragment of a lowland natural forest with the features of a primeval forest. Currently, the park creates three administrative units including the European Bison Breeding Center (with three breeding reserves and the European Bison Show Reserve) which is definitely a very interesting attraction. 2. up to 1 hour and 45 min drive from Bialystok to Bialowieza National Park by a comfortable car/van with our private English speaking driver
3. up to 4 hours visit in Strict Nature Reserve of National Park with a local private guide in chosen language during which you will:

• walk along 4,5 km path in the heart of primeval forest and see the natural, wild beauty of the Park which is mostly under active nature protection,
• expand your knowledge about the history of the first national park in Europe and in Poland,
• see numerous species of tree stands but with the dominating pine share,
• have the chance to observe the natural processes in this place,
• admire the rare biodiversity in this park which you will not see anywhere else,
• see and hear many different species of forest birds such as owls
• discover fauna that lives in Bialowieza National Park. If you have enough luck, you may have the possibility to see wild boars, deers, elks, beavers, otters, minks and of course European bisons,
