Tour itinerary:

  1. Pick-up directly from the gate of the port or hotel at chosen time
  2. approx 1,5 hour drive from Gdynia to Malbork Castle by private car/van with English speaking driver
  3. entrance to the castle with an audio-guide in the chosen language (English, German, Spanish, Russian, Italian, French, Polish)
  4. visiting the castle for approx 3 hours during which you will see:
  • the lower castle – your journey through Malbork Castle begins at the entrance gate of the lower castle, featuring essential fortifications like walls and a drawbridge.
  • the middle castle – transitioning from the lower castle, traverse across a network of bridges and gates to reach the middle castle; here, you’ll find yourself in a spacious courtyard encircled by medieval structures, alongside a souvenir shop and a dining establishment.
  • Grand Masters’ Palace – this majestic part of the castle includes a series of historical rooms that functioned as a royal abode, banquet halls, and conference rooms.
  • Amber Collection – this section offers insights into the role and history of amber in Poland.
  • West Terrace – a cozy, enclosed courtyard near the Grand Masters’ Palace, featuring a mill that visitors can explore.
  • the higher castle – representing the castle’s most ancient segment.
  • Courtyard – the focal point of the high castle, featuring a strategically placed well to provide water during sieges, crucial for the Teutonic Knights.
  • Chapter Room – a designated space for convening meetings and electing the new Grand Master.
  • the Tower (Wiezna Glowna) – ascending this tower rewards visitors with the most spectacular panoramic views of the entire castle.
