Gdynia: Tour to Sopot

Sopot, renowned as Poland’s most celebrated and fashionable seaside resort, nestles on the Baltic Sea coast, sandwiched between Gdansk and Gdynia as part of the Tricity agglomeration. Each summer, it becomes a magnet for thousands of tourists, offering a lively nightlife scene with its array of bars and clubs, restaurants serving fresh seafood, various shops, musical happenings, quaint cafes, remarkable architecture, and, naturally, a stunning sandy beach. We assure you that Sopot’s charm will captivate you, offering something for everyone. If you’ve explored the highlights of Gdansk, it’s time to experience Sopot – an unmissable destination!

We offer private tours to Sopot from Gdynia port or hotel on request

Tour itinerary:

  1. Pick-up directly from the gate of the port or hotel at chosen time
  2. approx. 30 min drive from Gdynia to Sopot
  3. up to 3 hours of walking guided tour of Sopot with our private city guide in chosen language during which you will see:
  • The Pier (Molo) – Sopot’s most sought-after attraction; this is the Baltic Sea’s lengthiest wooden pier and epitomizes the city’s resort vibe.
  • The Curative Square – located near the wooden pier’s entrance; here, you can sample the healing brine water. Along with the pier and remnants of the Curative House, it constitutes the heart of the city’s resort area.
  • The Lighthouse – currently a beacon in Poland’s maritime navigation system and a lookout point offering stunning views of the pier and Sopot. Climbing the winding stairs is a must, but the breathtaking panorama at the top is well worth the effort.
  • Monte Cassino Street – Poland’s most renowned promenade, celebrated for its lively atmosphere, top-notch restaurants, clubs, souvenir and handmade product shops. It’s also home to the “Krzywy Domek” – a whimsically crooked house showcasing adventurous modern architecture.
  • The Sierakowski Manor House – a quaint 18th-century manor and one of Sopot’s oldest structures. It now houses the Society of Friends of Sopot and is a bustling hub of the city’s cultural scene. Despite some post-war damage, many of its original features remain intact.
  • The Grand Hotel – erected in the 1920s with an Art Nouveau/Baroque flair. This luxury establishment melds modern guest expectations with nearly a century of history. Its construction was a costly venture, intended as a retreat for visitors to the Sopot Casino. The hotel has hosted numerous celebrities, including Marlene Dietrich and Fidel Castro.
