Wroclaw: Riese Complex Tour

The Owl Mountains in the Lower Silesia are probably one of the most mysterious places related with World War II. It is a place where underground structures called Riese Complex are located. The purpose of this Nazi German project remains unknown. Built between 1943–1945, the massive, top-secret underground complex consists of numerous shelters and tunnels. None of seven underground structures were finished. Only a small percentage of tunnels is reinforced by concrete. Some people believe all the structures were part of the Adolf Hitler’s Headquarters. Some parts of the Riese Complex are now available for tourists. If you are particularly interested in the history of World War II, you cannot miss this unique site.
