Lublin: Jewish Sites Tour

Lublin has been home to Jewish community since the Middle Ages. It was a city where the Hebrew culture could develop freely over the centuries. Jews came to Lublin in 1316. In 1336 King Kazimierz III granted the Jews permission to settle on the outskirts of the city. Later on, King Zygmunt I permitted them to settle near the castle. Lublin was mostly influenced by Hasidic Judaism, a spiritual revival movement. During our tour you will hear stories about the Jerusalem of the Polish Kingdom and discover the former Jewish town with all its secrets.

We offer private guided walking tours of the Jewish sites in Lublin on request.
